Unexpected photo for my model portfolio

In January, I stayed in Totnes for 10 day. Just days before, I had been staying at my friend’s house, casually mentioning my desire to start modelling and build a portfolio. Was it a passing thought or a wish spoken aloud? Most of the time I mean all the words I speak-of course unless I’m being goofy.

One morning, I was sitting in a cozy café, lost in my own world—drawing, journaling, simply enjoying the moment—when my attention drifted to two young women at a nearby table. Their conversation was rich, full of depth, the kind of discussion that pulls you in without you even realizing it. I felt a strong urge to join them. My curiosity and self-doubt started battle. Would it be weird? Would they think I was intruding?
For a moment, I hesitated. But eventually, I leaned in and asked, with a smile, if I could join their conversation.

They welcomed me in, and what followed was one of those exchanges that leave you buzzing with inspiration. We spoke about life’s challenges, our projects, our goals—the things that set our souls on fire. Before leaving, we exchanged contacts.

A few days later, I received a message from Tessa. (Here’s her website.) She had been one of the women from the café, and now, she was inviting me to model for her women’s embodiment project. It was everything I was drawn to—creativity, self-expression, stepping into one’s power. And just like that, without force or planning, I had manifested new photos for my modelling portfolio.

All because I spoke up. All because I followed the pull. All because I believe we are here to help each other’s.
